Privacy Policy for Kelo

1. Our approach. Kelo is built to work on your device. The subscriptions, bills, payments and goals you enter are stored locally on your iPhone. We never ask for bank logins or card numbers and we never see your payment credentials: all purchases are handled by Apple.

2. What we collect and who processes it.

• On your device: the subscriptions, payments, goals and notes you enter. This stays on your device unless you turn on sync (section 3).
• Purchases (RevenueCat): when you subscribe or restore, RevenueCat processes your App Store transaction, subscription status, an anonymous app identifier and basic device and country data, so we can unlock and restore your plan. It does not receive your name or email.
• Product analytics (PostHog, EU servers): we record in app events (screens reached, paywall and onboarding steps, features used, and the amounts or categories you assign to subscriptions and goals), linked to a random app identifier, together with device model, operating system, app version, language and approximate location from your IP address. We use this only to understand and improve the app. We do not collect your name, email or contacts.
• Advertising measurement (Meta): if you allow tracking when iOS asks, the Meta SDK receives your device advertising identifier and conversion events so we can measure our ad performance. If you decline, it is not shared. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings, Privacy and Security, Tracking. This data may be processed in the United States.

3. Cloud sync (Premium). If you are a Premium subscriber and turn on sync, the subscriptions and payments you create are sent over an encrypted connection to our server and stored there so they stay in sync across your devices. If you do not use sync, this data never leaves your device.

4. Legal bases (EEA and UK). Purchases and sync: performance of our contract with you. Analytics: our legitimate interest in improving the app. Advertising identifier: your consent (the iOS tracking prompt), which you can withdraw at any time.

5. Retention. On device data remains until you delete it or remove the app. Sync data is kept while you use sync and is deleted on request. Analytics and advertising data are retained for a limited period by each provider.

6. Your rights. You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your data, and to object to or withdraw consent for analytics and advertising, by writing to [email protected]. In the EEA you may also complain to your data protection authority (in Spain, the AEPD).

7. International transfers. Some providers (such as Meta) may process data outside the EEA, including the United States, under safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. Children. Kelo is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes. We may update this policy and will post the new version here with a new effective date.
